I never experienced the myspace punk days. Never had the chance to find obscure bands like this but thanks to youtube now I can and how you mentioned you downloaded it for free from myspace. That's insane. A lot of artist these days are money hungry and only want to drop on "major platform". They don't realize they will make more money and fans long term if they drop for free.
Sad reality, it was easier to obtain music back then, hell if you commented or emailed them, they'd be thrilled just you gave a listen and liked what they played, sometimes get a sticker, patch or demo for free! But now bandcamp is the new way.
